This clumping bamboo is a beautiful upright grower with many tightly spaced canes. During the 2004 hurricanes season, the Seabreeze Bamboo performed the best of all the varieties we grow, experiencing very little damage. Its canes are very strong and are used for tool handles in its native habitat. Plant as a specimen or as a mass.
Seabreeze bamboo prefers full sun to partial shade and is moderately salt tolerant. This bamboo grows to a height of 35′ tall with 2.5″ diameter canes and is hardy to 20° F.
